Executives at Slovakia's Eustream, the country's natural gas transmission company, have said that the interconnector with Hungary should be launched on schedule on Jul. 1 despite previous delays. The 115 km (71 mile) pipeline is currently in the testing phase, and last week Eustream and Hungary's Gaz Tranzit ZRt announced they were prolonging the open season procedure, with capacity available starting on Jul. 1. The new deadline for bids is May 22.
