State-controlled China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) said Friday it raised production by 9.4% year-on-year in the first quarter thanks to contributions from new projects offshore China. But a focus on reducing capital expenditure made a modest start to the year and revenues took a predictable battering on the back of lower oil prices.
