Asian LNG Buyers Seek Overhaul of Traditional Contract Model

Asian LNG buyers said Thursday that they want more flexibility and price competitiveness than they currently get in rigid long-term contracts. If sellers do not adjust, buyers will start to look elsewhere for more flexible supplies or even turn to coal, officials from those firms said at the Gastech conference in Singapore.
