Eni's Ghana Gas Plans Pass First Hurdle

Italy's Eni has reached a preliminary agreement with Ghana to develop offshore gas for the domestic market based on discoveries in the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) license. With gas flows from the Jubilee field due to be connected to the onshore grid by year-end, the West African country is starting to develop a significant supply of gas, which it has previously imported in limited volumes from Nigeria via the West African Gas Pipeline.
