An eight-month-old oil blockade by Libyan militia groups remains in place and has now disrupted an oil pipeline from the key southwestern El Sharara field. Oil and gas pipes from the Wafa field, also located in the western part of the country, have been blocked by the same disruption. Libya's National Oil Corp. reports that oil production on Feb. 12 from the Repsoloperated El Sharara field was 301,000 b/d, compared to capacity of 340,000-350,000 b/d.
