Italian major Eni marked its maiden foray into Myanmar with the finalization of two production sharing contracts (PSC) that it secured last October in a bid round that saw 16 out of 18 blocks awarded. Eni has a six-year exploration period, which is subdivided into three phases, for both the RSF-5 and PSC-K onshore blocks. Located in the Salin Basin, about 500 km north of Yangon, Block RSF-5 covers an area of 1,292 sq km. Block PSC-K covers 6,558 sq km in the unexplored Pegu Yoma-Sittaung Basin in central Myanm
