Ukraine's energy ministry said Thursday that the country's energy supply and power systems were functioning normally and that no emergencies had been declared despite the escalating violence in the capital and several western regions. Energy Minister Eduard Stavytsky said that there was 11.5 billion cubic meters in Ukraine's underground natural gas storage reservoirs, or approximately four months' worth of imports at last year's level.
