Gazprom, Greece's Depa Negotiating Price Discount

Russian gas giant Gazprom is prepared to give a 13% discount on the natural gas it now supplies Depa, Greece's state-run gas supply company. The two sides have entered into negotiations with Greece seeking relief on take-or-pay contract terms that expire in 2016. Gazprom is offering a price of $389-$399 per thousand cubic meters, down from some $460 Mcm under the current contract. Depa is asking for an almost 20% cut in price and wants it to be retroactive from the start of 2013.
