Origin Restarts Drilling at APLNG

Sydney-based Origin Energy, a coalbed methane (CBM) producer and operator of the Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) development project, said Wednesday it will introduce a phased restart of previously suspended drilling operations. The firm suspended operations at 12 drilling rigs in southern Queensland last week after it received notification from one of its suppliers, Australian Mud Co., that an imported product sometimes used in drilling fluids had been found to contain asbestos (IOD Mar.19'14).
