Woodside Hits Record Output, Expects Higher LNG Revenues

Australian independent Woodside reported record-high production of 87 million barrels of oil equivalent (238,000 boe per day) for 2013, up 2.5% year-on-year and in line with its most recent guidance, as its flagship Pluto LNG project ramped up output in the fourth quarter (IOD Dec.11'13). The increased LNG production compensates for Woodside's long-term decline in oil output, albeit fetching lower realized prices than crude oil does, with the Perth-based company's 2013 revenues being dragged down by 7.2% to US $5.78 billion as a result.
