Canada's Imperial Oil Sells Assets to Whitecap

Exxon Mobil's Canadian affiliate, Imperial Oil, has agreed to sell producing light oil and gas assets in Western Canada for $855 million (US$773 million) to Calgary-based Whitecap Resources. Whitecap will acquire assets that currently produce some 15,000 barrels per day of oil equivalent in the Boundary Lake area of northeast British Columbia and the Cynthia/ West Pembina and Rocky Mountain House areas of Alberta.
