Borders Ups Falklands Gas Estimate

UK independent Borders & Southern (B&S) has upgraded its estimate for the Darwin gas and condensate discovery in the Falkland Islands, following a detailed reservoir engineering study. The company now reckons that there is about 2.6 Tcf of wet gas in place, up from 1.8 Tcf, and the recoverable volume of condensate could be 263 million bbl, dependent on successful appraisal wells, up from 200 million bbl estimated previously (IOD Aug.24'12).
