Mitsubishi Enters Ivory Coast Upstream

Mitsubishi Corp. has become the first Japanese company to enter Ivory Coast's upstream after agreeing to acquire a 20% stake in offshore Block CI - 103, according to a Mitsubishi statement ( IOD Jan.14'14 ). Mitsubishi's entry into the block would reduce US - based Anadarko's ownership interest from 55% to 35%, pending approval by the Ivory Coast government.
