AWE Finds Tight Gas in Western Oz

Australian minnow AWE has firmed up a gas discovery in permits L1/L2 in the onshore Perth Basin and discovered a significant new gas play after drilling deeper. The positive results from the Senecio - 3 appraisal well have led to an upgrade in contingent resources, and increased the likelihood of the Senecio gas field being developed. Potentially, it could be the first unconventional producing gas field in Western Australia.
