North America wins hands down as the most favorable region of the world for investment in oil and natural gas, according to a survey conducted by the Fraser Institute, a conservative think tank based in Calgary. The annual Global Petroleum Survey ranks the investment climate in 156 global oil and gas jurisdictions (countries, states, provinces, etc.) based on responses from over 700 energy executives about their respective tax and regulatory environments.
