Niko Buys Hess Indonesia Assets

Canada's Niko Resources, already a large holder of offshore acreage in Indonesia, has acquired more stakes there despite recent weak exploration results. The company said in an update last week that it has signed a definitive agreement with US Hess "for certain consideration" in exchange for assuming a 100% interest in the Semai V Production Sharing Contract (PSC), offshore Papua in eastern Indonesia.
