Gazprom Neft Pumps First Crude in Iraq

Russia's Gazprom Neft announced Thursday that it has produced its first volumes of oil from the 3 billion bbl Badra field in Iraq, where commercial output is scheduled to start later this year. Gazprom Neft said testing of the BD-4 well at the Badra field was completed in late December. The company individually tested six layers of the well, while the last test looked at the combined productivity of all layers. The company said oil gushed at a flow rate of 7,000 b/d.
