Gaprom Neft Advances Tight Oil Plan

Russia's Gazprom Neft is moving forward with programs to develop unconventional reserves in the country's traditional oil-producing region of West Siberia. The oil arm of state gas giant Gazprom said Friday it started drilling an appraisal well at the Bazheno- Abalaksky horizon of the Palyanovskaya zone at the Krasnoleninsky deposit, in the Khanty-Mansiysk region of West Siberia, which will allow it to study and assess the area's production potential.
