EIB Lends to Repsol, Greece

The European Union's lending arm, the European Investment Bank (EIB), has signed loan agreements for ?410 million ($527 million) for energy projects. The move is unlikely to check criticism that it is keener to lend to oil, gas and coal companies than to clean energy (IOD Oct.25'11).
