Moscow Launches Gazprom Audit

Russia's Audit Chamber, the country's parliamentary watchdog, has started its review of state-controlled gas giant Gazprom, the first in the last five years. According to the Audit Chamber's head, Sergei Stepashin, the results of the review -- due to be completed by November -- will be "interesting." Stepashin didn't elaborate, but said Gazprom is fully cooperating with the auditors, providing all the necessary materials.
