China’s January and February crude imports dipped year-on-year while February imports of Iranian crude spiked -- a development that was expected due to the unusually low volumes of Iranian imports early last year. Total crude imports slipped by 2.4% from last year, falling to an average of 5.61 million b/d for January and February, with data from the two months calculated together because of distortions caused by the Chinese New Year holiday.
