Algeria has issued an international arrest warrant for former Energy Minister Chakib Khelil in connection with bribery investigations involving transactions between state Sonatrach and Italy's Saipem, a unit of Eni, over 2007 - 09. Warrants were also issued for eight others linked to the case, including Khelil's wife and two of his sons, and alleged middleman Farid Bedjaoui, who is already the subject of an arrest warrant issued by Italian authorities, Algerian news agency APS said Monday. The warrants came into force two weeks ago.
