Anglo-Turkish Genel Energy, a leading oil producer from the Taq Taq and Tawke oil fields in Iraq’s Kurdistan region, said Thursday its net working interest production for 2012 was 44,500 barrels per day, a level it expects again in 2013 -- even as field capacity rises -- due to politically driven export constraints. Genel, which posted a profit of $75 million on revenues $333 million last year, operates the Taq Taq oil field, where current gross production capacity of 120,000 b/d is set to grow to 200,000 b/d in 2014. It is also a partner at the Norwegian DNO-operated Tawke field -- also set to reach a capacity of 200,000 b/d by end-2014 from 100,000 b/d now -- and has a 100% interest in the Miran gas and condensate field, now producing 2,000-3,000 b/d under an extended well test, among other assets in the region.
