Russia’s rising oil star Bashneft has moved to deny allegations made by a deputy of the State Duma that its controversial 2010 victory in a tender for the rights to develop the coveted Trebs and Titov oil fields in the Timan-Pechora region was in flagrant violation of Russian law (IOD Dec.3’10).
