Royal Dutch Shell will sell stakes in at least four blocks in Nigeria in its latest round of asset sales in the Opec country, according to reports on Wednesday. Citing industry sources, Reuters said that the blocks for sale include Oil Mining Licenses (OMLs) 13 and 16 onshore in the Niger Delta, and OML 71 and 72, which lie offshore. Shell declined to comment when contacted by International Oil Daily. In June, Shell said that its Nigerian vehicle Shell Petroleum Development Company was undertaking a strategic review, with a view to divesting a number of selected onshore leases in the eastern part of Nigeria's Niger Delta (IOD Jun.24'13).
