UK labor union Unite, which voted in favor of strike action last Monday, said Friday it had ruled out a strike over the Easter period in a bid to focus on talks (IOD Mar.27 '12). The announcement came as the union, which represents 2,000 tanker drivers who deliver motor fuel to roughly 90% of the UK's filling stations, confirmed it was ready to start substantive talks through arbitration and conciliation service Acas as soon as possible.
