Wentworth, M&P Hit Onshore Tanzania Gas

London- and Oslo-listed Wentworth Resources said Wednesday that its onshore Ziwani-1 exploration well in the Mnazi Bay concession in Tanzania's Rovuma Basin has made a gas discovery in a new reservoir interval not previously tested on the block. Analyst reaction was mixed, however, and Wentworth conceded that more tests are necessary to determine if the well will flow at commercial rates.
