Blast Cripples Syrian Pipe

A blast at a Syrian gas pipeline near the restive city of Homs has knocked out 4 MW of power generation, the state-run news agency Sana reported Tuesday. The flow of gas has been halted to the al- Zara and al-Zaizoun electricity generation stations after an “explosive charge” detonated at the 24-inch line, according to an official source at the ministry of electricity.
