Canada’s Talisman Energy has decided to cut investment in Southeast Asia this year, with spending expected between $600 and $700 million, down by as much as 43% from the $1.06 billion budgeted for the area last year (IOD Jan.13’11). The amount dedicated to the region has dropped proportionally more than Talisman’s global spending plan for this year, which is down 11% from 2011 to around $4 billion.
