Gazprom Looks to Danish Dong for Euro Expansion

Gazprom is pushing ahead with plans to expand into Europe’s power market by firming ties with Denmark’s state-run Dong. Following lengthy bilateral talks, the Russian gas giant and Dong have negotiated a plan on “further cooperation in northwestern Europe based on existing gas-fired power utilities as well as construction of modern gas and steam power plants,” Gazprom said in a statement late last week.
