Abu Dhabi’s Zakum Development Co. (Zadco) has awarded an early works engineering contract to a local firm for an upgrade of the giant offshore Upper Zakum oil field. The firm, Al Jaber Energy Services, a member of Al Jaber Group, received the letter of award and scope which covers work at four artificial islands under construction, according to the UAE’s state Wam news agency.
