Sinopec Corp., the Hong Kong and Shanghai-listed arm of China’s Sinopec Group, will acquire the overseas oil and gas assets owned by its parent company when appropriate, the listed company said in a statement -- a move investors should embrace since shares have suffered from its heavy focus on lower-return downstream assets.
