Iraq Hikes Basrah Price

Iraq's State Oil Marketing Organization (Somo) has again raised differentials on prices of Basrah Light sold into Asia for De- cember loading, hiking them against other Mideast sours, Asian buyers said on Tuesday (IOD Oct.12'11). Somo raised the differential to regional benchmarks Oman and Dubai by 15￠/bbl to a $1.80/bbl premium. The differential against Saudi Arabia's Arab Medium has gone up by 20￠/bbl to a premium of 70￠/bbl — the second monthly increase in a row and double the differential in October.
