Norway’s Hoegh LNG has confirmed itwill supply a vessel to Indonesian state gasdistributor Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) toserve as a floating storage and regasificationunit (FSRU) for PGN’s planned Medan ter-minal in North Sumatra. The Norwegian shipper told Interna-tional Oil Daily it will offer either a newFSRU or convert an existing LNG vessel.It said a few months back that, if chosenfor the contract, it could supply a new-build from Hyundai Heavy Industries.“We are currently working on the finalcontract with PGN with a view to havingit signed as soon as possible,” a companyspokesman said. The vessel will bemoored off the port city of Medan.
