Korean LNG Imports Jump 59%

South Korea imported 3.67 milliontons of LNG in September, a 59% surgefrom 2.31 million tons a year earlier, ac-cording to customs data released over theweekend. From January to Septemberthis year, the country — the world’s sec-ond-largest LNG buyer after Japan —bought 26.6 million tons of LNG, a15.7% rise from the 23 million tons itbought in the same period last year.
