Klaipedos Nafta (KN), the state-controlled operator of Lithuania's Klaipeda oil terminal, earned 12.9 million litas ($5.55 million) in April, up 2% from a year earlier. The increase was largely thanks to higher tariffs at the Baltic port, as product shipments fell because of a two-week scheduled maintenance turnaround at Orlen Lietuva, the sole refinery in the Baltics and KN's main client (IOD Mar.25,p9). The terminal loaded 623,000 tons of oil products last month, down 16% on a year earlier. In the first four months of the year, it handled 2.478 million tons, down from 2.665 million tons a year earlier.
