GDF Suez Opens Power Plant

GDF Suez officially opened on Friday a 435 MW combined-cycle gas (CCGT) power station at Montoir-de-Bretagne, the first such plant in western France. Costing ?300 million ($432 million), it will generate enough power for 450,000 homes, has an electric efficiency of close to 58% and lies near the Montoir-de-Bretagne LNG import terminal. It took more than two years to build.
