Australian partners Pancontinental Oil & Gas and Sun Resources have lost a legal battle to get an injunction imposed against the government of Malta. The two firms were trying to stop the Maltese government from granting petroleum rights for an offshore area that is disputed by Libya and Malta — and where the duo claim they have an exploration study agreement (ESA).
