Iraq Eyes Gas to End Power Cuts

As Iraqis swelter in the stifling heat, Baghdad aims to boost electricity output sufficiently this summer to ease some of the chronic power cuts. But an urgent plan to install enough capacity to cover demand will take another year to deliver, at least -given the security, cash and infrastructure problems still plaguing the country more than eight years after Saddam Hussein was ousted.
