Russia Suffers Diesel Spill

Russian oil product pipeline operator Transnefteproduct said Monday that diesel fuel has been spilled after digging work damaged a 2 million ton/yr diesel pipeline in the Ryazan region. The Transneft subsidiary said workers from a company called Inter-star were installing a cable for a mobile telephone operator when they damaged the Novky-Ryazan trunk pipeline running from TNK-BP's Ryazan refinery. Transnefteproduct said it had not agreed to the work.
