Petrobras Asset Sales to Help Fund Mega Spend, Gabrielli Says

Brazil's Petrobras plans to raise $13.6 billion from asset sales by 2015 through farm-outs, divesting shares in other companies and managing its cash balances to fund investment, Chief Executive Jose Sergio Gabrielli said Monday. The disposal program is the first by state-controlled Petrobras, which last month announced planned investment of $224.7 billion for the 2011-15 period, which will focus on presalt developments in Brazil (IOD Jul.26'11).
