Niko Spuds Trinidad Well

Calgary-based Niko Resources has spud- ded its first well offshore Trinidad, marking a new focus of exploration for the company. The Rowan Gorilla III rig is currently on location at the Stalin prospect, which is the first of three wells planned for Block 2ab lo- cated off Trinidad and Tobago's eastern con- tinental shelf. The Stalin prospect is named after the popular calypso singer, Black Stalin.
