Indonesia is planning to start production at 15 new oil and gas projects next year, with total capacity expected to reach 1.16 Bcf/d of gas and 35,200 b/d of oil, state upstream regulator BP Migas said Monday. Three projects — Pertamina’s APN offshore North West Java, ConocoPhillips’ Tambang Subsea, and Santos’ Wortel — are targeted to kick off in the first quarter of 2012, and another— Kangean Energy’s Terang Sirasun Batur project in East Java — in the second quarter. The rest — which include Pertamina’s KE-39, 40 and 54 Blocks in West Madura, and Total’s South Mahakam Blocks 1 and 2 in East Kalimantan — are expected to start output in the second half of the year, the statement said.
