Syria's oil production increased last year t just over 386,000 b/d, according to data from state Syrian Petroleum Co. (SPC). The increase was minor - just 9,400 b/d - but is a positive sign after output slumped to 368,000 b/d in 2009, down sharply from a high of 583,000 b/d in 1996. In total, almos 141 million bbl of crude oil was produced last year, of which the state firm accounted for 73.8 million bbl. SPC said natural gas output in 2010 totaled 10.067 Bcm.
