Japanese Imports Rise

Japan's crude oil imports in February averaged 3.884 million b/d, up 3.4% from 12 months earlier, according to figures released Thursday by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (Meti). The total was, however, 3.3% lower than in January. Domestic consumption of refined products - excluding lubricants, asphalt, waxes and liquefied petroleum gas - inched up less than 1% in February to 3.915 million b/d, according to Meti.
