Moscow and Beijing are planning another round of negotiations later this month in a bid to resolve a row over the price of Russian oil shipments through a spur to China from the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean (Espo) pipeline. Shipments via the spur -which runs from Skovorodino, the end point of Espo's first phase, to the Chinese city of Daqing -began in January under an oil-for-loan deal that envisages the supply of 300,000 barrels per day of Russian crude to China over 20 years in return for a $25 billion loan to Russia's largest oil producer, Rosneft, and pipeline operator Transneft.
