Russian Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko said on Thursday that Moscow is prepared to increase gas supplies to Europe in light of the turmoil in Libya that has cut off deliver- ies to Italy through the Greenstream pipeline, but added that the EU has for now sufficient resources to cover short-term dis- ruptions (see p1).
