Global oil prices have been on a wild ride over the past couple of weeks, with uncertainties over the economy sparking unprecedented volatility. At the beginning of May, Nymex light, sweet crude traded around $115 per barrel, but it is now a few dollars below $100, while Brent has settled down around $110, although it started the month almost $16 higher.
