Bahrain Resignations Accepted

Bahrain's elected parliament on Tuesday accepted the resignation of 11 opposition parliamentarians, more than a month after they quit. "The House of Representatives unanimously accepts today the resignation of 11 Al-Wefaq members," state news agency BNA reported. A total of 18 members of the Shiite group resigned from the elected lower house of parliament in February after demonstrators were killed, and no explanation was given for accepting the resignations of some but not others.
