Relations between Gazprom and the Euro- pean Union (EU) topped the agenda Tuesday when Gazprom Chief Executive Alexei Miller met with EU Energy Commissioner Gunter Ottinger in Moscow. Ottinger expressed "satisfaction" with recent gas sector agreements signed by Moscow and Warsaw, Gazprom said in a statement. Gazprom and Poland's PG- NIG inked a much-delayed deal last week that will see Russian gas supplies to its neighbor increase by around 2 Bcm/yr while also ensuring the transit of Russian gas to Europe.
